SPAD REMAINS COMMITTED TO A ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY TOWARDS BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION
Kuala Lumpur, 23 March, 2016 – The Suruhanjaya Pengangkutan Awam Darat (SPAD) is deeply concerned with the recent arrest of its five enforcement officers stationed at KLIA and klia2 by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on allegations of corruption.
SPAD views this matter very seriously as it involves the integrity of the Commission in carrying out its duties to serve the rakyat and the land public transport industry. SPAD will provide full cooperation to MACC during the investigation of the case.
SPAD has always maintained a zero tolerance policy towards bribery and corruption. If found guilty, SPAD will take stern action towards its employees which includes dismissal from service.
